The gap between buying and renting narrows

The cost of buying a home for first-time buyers is £670 a year lower than renting, according to new research by Halifax. Rents to rise by 12% to 17% by 2019 says high-end agent

High-end estate agent Knight Frank is forecasting that rents will rise by between 12.1 per cent and 17.1 per cent by 2019. Over a quarter of landlords’ income goes on mortgages

New figures from a landlords’ organisation show that mortgage repayments are easily the biggest outgoing for a large proportion of landlords.
